Meow, mrrow, mrow Do you get parcels from a random place called hack club and want to see what's on the way and its status? eh, maybe not. But I do, and I don't like going to the shipment viewer because it's outside slack, i need to put in my email, get a link, annoying on mobile, ugghhh. (joking, it's a great site :) ) But what if you didn't have to do that? What if... it was in Slack. Introducing @PostPuppy ! Visit the app home to see all your packages just like you would on the shipment viewer. you can even opt to get notified when the status changes. oh, and if the email you use for slack is the same that you get mail to, it'll auto sign you in! (If you use a different email, you can open settings, enter an email and get a verification link sent to you)

Today i received some of the the high seas things I ordered: • a lockpicking kit: had some fun with it, lockpicked my first locks today >:3 although they were very small locks, i should buy bigger ones • the github universe badge: went to the github website to flash my own badge, in the future i think i'll try to make some cool projects with that

the backend of a project i'm working on does not scale well so i just rewrote the whole thing with NestJS 💀 I wouldn't even wish whatever that weekend was on my worst enemy bc wtf anyway here's the repo ‼️ github.com/openbloodfdn/core (it gets its own team name now bc it's scaling fast 😋)

I made a productivity based IOS app; It's intended to create a sense of urgency and competition while gamifying the studying process. It allows for users to compete globally on study times, track their own, and eventually use the points in an in-game shop system; I made it in React-Native and included a bunch of features so check it out if you're interested, link below; I'm planning to ship a bunch more updates github.com/Mr-W-Squidward/studyquest

Today I added the last few significant "things" to the game (the stuff worth mentioning). I added a win screen, an option to mute the volume on the main menu, some warning messages on the main menu, and an icon for the window and the executable file (though that isn't visible on the recording). I also made a quick soundtrack for the menu and main levels (I just need one more). Next is finishing off the media for the game (trailer, itch page, etc) and then I can release/ship it!🎉 github.com/snej55/paper-world (the game is called Defblade, not paperworld btw).

🚢 BOIDS! 🚢 Have you ever looked at birds in the sky and wondered... I wonder what the mathematical calculations for there movement were? You probably haven't but if you have, that's a real thing! It's called Boids. It's based on 3 rules (separation, cohesion, alignment) and can make some movements that look like schools of fish 🐟 or bird 🐦 movement, it can even make really satisfying timelapses! So over the last week-ish I decided to make a pygame script to simulate these Boids and create a program to see these mesmerizing patterns thats a mix between art and music! You can check out the code (and compile it yourself to run) here (give it a star maybe :p) , if you want to read more about boids, the wikipedia page is pretty good and there are a bunch of articles about it. Today I continued adding some stuff to my game. It now has lava, the start to a main menu, and some level transitions (with portals). I also added some shockwave vfx for the explosions. github.com/snej55/paper-world

Exam week is finally over! Today I added some coins to my game, with some more vfx, some more sounds, font rendering (with SDL_ttf), some ui improvements, leaves (particles that fall from the trees and stuff, kinda hard to see with all of the coins), and did some debugging (another seg fault waah). today i released a bugfix for PSAK that fixed some stuff, also started on a hackapet project! its about a mouse!

today i: 1. kinda nearly done w my #C07QKKZPVD0| project: its 1kb when compressed in a zip file

and 4.6 uncompressed, i just need to figure out how to qr-ify it. its bad apple but if the directors were on a 5kb budget and they used ascii in 1fps (github) 2. more athena stuff! i started getting rough values for a budget + followed up on some stuff 3. hackea stuff! after lots of emails and getting ghosted for a while i got a meeting with aws tmrw at 10am + uber got back to me :))

Finally finished my project, bgChange! Not the most complicated, but hey! It works. Kinda funny how this all originated from rebellion against the school's refusing to let us change our backgrounds.

I finished my saycheese submission today and I went on a hike in the snow. My saycheese submission was so simple but it only just fit into the QR code, its surprisingly hard to make a plain text website in 2kb!

I started my custom DNS server today. I started it in Rust, which was a bad idea. (I’m a beginner and I don’t know anything about bits and DNS

) At least it’ll be fast anyway.

Today I added some sound effects to my C++/SDL2 game to make the combat a bit more juicy. I also added some sparks vfx, worked on the turtles, and fixed an annoying bug with the health bars. Next is water and leaves! (hopefully) github.com/snej55/paper-world

i worked some more on codeboard today (as usual). i was mostly fixing bugs, adding small features and improvements, and figuring out how to build and deploy. react router seems to be having problems, it's saying i don't have the vite plugin installed but i definitely do. going to work on that a bit more tmrw.

I had a day off school today due to the snow, so I got a good bit done. I finished the automatic saving feature in Codeboard scribbles, and I started working on saving before leaving the page and a keyboard shortcut for saving. I worked for a while on the 5 page proposal for my #C08525UQNSF| (STEM Racing) team too.

Worked more on Codeboard today (as usual). I finished implementing scribbles authentication, improved navigation across the site, and continued working on saving in scribbles. We had the first snow of 2025 too!

I finished the images API, added the markdown API, and started working on saving and authentication for scribbles in Codeboard today. I went ice skating too and I think it was the first time I didn’t fall down at all!

I started implementing image storage for Codeboard scribbles today and I styled the sign in and sign up pages a bit. I didn’t get much else done since that took so long.

Wrote a Python script serving with CGI which draws a banner for my GitHub profile's README with data from the GraphQL API! The XP and LV is based on my contribution count (public and private depending on profile settings).
