possibly the strangest art project i've made! i have an weird obsession with the orange trident gum flavour and i was just goofing around one day with the packaging when i got the most random idea ever.
✨ the gum room ✨ (:heavysob:), a goofy mini room with a bed, table, closet and other stuff made with a very interesting materials... gum boxes, gum wrappers, and gum ofc (most of it soft-ifyed in a bowl of water with chopsticks ok).
i hope you enjoy, i guess?
(also since the slack image limit is 10, im adding one more in the thread of the very beginning)
more drawinggg
pencil drawing a portrait!
i finally finished it! :ultrafastparrot:
i made a book from scratch containing all the amazing tales from #C06RQ9TTEG3|!
introducing ✨tales from the trail ✨, a hand-made book that i binded with leather and some old-looking paper. i wrote about the AWESOME experiences that we had out there in the woods and all the amazing cool friends i made! btw tail is by far the best group! and the best part i think was the fun little 3d paper gadget things (tent that you can open and there are two sleeping bags inside), tiny lake dioramas (blue hot glue basically), pop-ups (a very wonky looking bear and FIRE!!) and other trinket stuff (like a magnifying glass to inspect people's faces if thats something you like to do)!
hope you enjoy! :)
fun fact: the book spine has pink himalayan salt hot-glued on for some reason
the entire book: docs.google.com/document/d/16lMUuA6GF8RqRvB3axDwEq4kIcqhxX17YrtS4XYHUTI/edit?usp=sharing

btw... another google-doc style recount about EVERYTHING that happened (that i know of) on #C06RQ9TTEG3| is coming soon:eyes_shaking:. it's very extensive, and SEVENTY pages :heavysob: long . i just gotta organize it and shorten it...
finished book cover!
this is the first PCB i've ever made! introducing... ✨ magic frog's lightsaber ✨!! i designed it originally for #C06RQ9TTEG3|... but it took a lot longer than expected lol. it has a mpu6050 gyroscope & accelerometer and ardunio nano. when you move it faster, more of the neopixel LEDs light up and each axis (x, y, z) is assigned to red, blue or green.
i first designed the entire board not planning on using the ardunio nano or mpu6050, instead components built into the board but there were a tonnn of problems (one of which was burning the bootloader but then again got to use oscilloscope to see the data lines which was sooo cool) so i decided to change plans. the board has some fun lighthouse-themed silkscreens bc i was first planning on 3d-printing a case and making a lighthouse desk lamp.
also big big thanks to @ThomasStubblefield and @ky200617 for helping me out and encouraging me along the way! :)

finally, here are some fun long-exposure light photos i took and pictures of the board!
finally finished my 3rd design of the pcb and got it yesterday! i started soldering and i think soon i'll finally be able to program and make it actually work :)
i've been working on some digital art of the robot living on Laputa from Castle in the Sky! i looove the studio ghibli art style. still pretty unfinished though... you can see the difference between the left and right side lol but i'm pretty happy with how it looks so far! still gotta work on the grass and making the robot's colors match more and stuff

first time using an oscilliscope and it's soooo cool actually being able to see the individual bits and all the waves and stuff! 🤯
hi all! :hyper-dino-wave: this is my first ever ship! i made a website with next.js showcasing the awesome #the-trail equipment so people can look back in the future and remember how epic each project was. i have the main framework all done so now it's very easy to add more projects, which i'm going to continue to do. the theme is a pcb trail map! over the next few days, i'm hoping to make the art better, get it to be aligned on different sized-screens, put more information about each project, and add more projects! :) also i think it would be really cool to add a function where you can "buy" the product by getting in contact with the people who made it. there are so many cool trail projects!
