almost a whole year ago i shared my first iteration of my motion controlled lights. however, there was one big caveat; the sensor simply acted on motion, which meant if 1 person walks in the room, the lights turn on. but if another person walks in, they turn off because the sensor doesn't know what direction the movement was in. I upgraded my PIR motion sensor to a gesture sensor, which means it can now track how many people are in the room and turn the lights on or off accordingly.
i dont have a demo with multiple movements, but here it is in action with one 'person"just realized I haven't posted a scrapbook entry in 2 months so I thought I'd post an update from the flight tracker I shared in april-
since then I've added dynamic background colors, boarding passes, and bag tracking
I finally don't need to install 50 different airline apps
finalized card design (...at least for now)
something is in the works 👀

I know I'm late but why not finish the 10 days, so here was my day 10 for #hardware-party
played around with the ir transmitters a little more
day 9 of #hardware-party
didnt get a lot done today, the LED receiver doesn't seem to want to take input from the IR transmitter attached to the node
day 8, played around with the case and fan as well as managing the wiring

day 7 post failed noo my scrappy streak 😭
set up the wio links for the beds (project 2) on the local server
day 6 of #hardware-party
played around with my stepper motor for project 3, super fun
day 5 of #hardware-party
did some more retraining, pretty sweet hypothetical accuracy 👀
day 4 of #hardware-party
it's technically day 5 for scrappy but I'd count 12am as day 4 smh
anyways I did some more field testing, here's an example
(day 3 of #hardware-party )
cleaned up the assembly of the device in the car
(day 2 of #hardware-party)
the model comes out with around a 50-50 accuracy so its a nice start but im going to start training with data from local runs instead of online dbs
day 1 of #hardware-party!
worked a little on the code, especially the training the model part
final version of the bday card-
the servos had way too little range and weren't opening enough so i had to improvise and throw in snapcircuits lmaosuper basic iteration of a bday "card" for mom (a colab w my sister)finally cleaned up my tabs lmao
